Dan, yours seem fair but pretty low expectations for Desi. Any reason why?

Yeah, when I had Desi scoring 10 PPG the team total was too high.

I had to look to trim some numbers. Desi might split time with Singh who is playing well to date in practice. If that happens less MPG will mean less PPG for D-Rod.

Two players IMO might outscore my predictions. One is Desi. The other is Carrington.

I'll have a better idea when I watch them in Oct practices.

I think your total PPG is skewed high because many of the players will not see action during games especially the Big East play. I don't see this team going more than 7-8 deep.

Whitehead 16
Carrington. 11
Delgado. 14
DRod. 8
Singh. 6
Anderson 5
Gordon. 5
Carter. 0.5
Ish. 0.5

I don't see the other players seeing time on the floor.
66 PPG

Are you saying that 3 players won't average any points and 2 others will only total 1 point combined? That's not happening.

Last season

Sterling Gibbs 16.3

Isaiah Whitehead 12.0

Brandon Mobley 9.8

Angel Delgado 9.3

Khadeen Carrington 8.8

Jaren Sina 7.0

Desi Rodriguez 5.6

Haralds Karlis 3.3

Stephane Manga 2.6

Rashed Anthony 0.9

Ismael Sanogo 0.5

Chier Ajou 0.3

No. That is not what I am saying. But, did Ish average a point every other game during the entire season or did he average a point every other game that he played? That stat is the games he actually played. Not the total amount of games. So the total of the averages of the points played by player is higher than the actual points scored by game.

So I am saying that in most games, especially in the Big East games, at least 3 or 4 players will not play and not contribute to the point total per game. Others will not score much. That is a true points per game total. Averaging all the players points for the season does not give you a true per game output for the team.

If Anderson, Ish, Carter, Anthony, and Nzei combine for under 10 points per game well this team is in serious, serious trouble. You can't play 4 on 5 offensively in the league and be successful. Can't play Singh, DRod, and Delgado a lot together because we will get crushed on the interior and glass. One of the five guys mentioned must play better than what is anticipated. Preferably 2 of them but that seems like a long shot.

Between the player who starts with the core 4 and the bench you need to get 20+ points per game . If you think that Gordon can give you 7 or 8 a game and the combination of Anderson/Singh can do the same then the rest of the bench should give you what you need. If you can't get those 14-16 ppg from the Gordon/Anderson/Singh combo then you going to be scrambling to find the points elsewhere and I'm not sure where they come from.

Whitehead - 12ppg
Carrington - 10ppg
Gordon - 10ppg
Delgado - 10ppg
Rodriguez - 8ppg
Singh - 7ppg
Anderson - 6ppg
Sanogo - 5ppg
Nzei - 2ppg
Carter - 1ppg
Anthony - 1ppg

Rotation - 63
Whitehead - 16 (ball in his hands, lots of foul attempts from going to the basket)
Carrington - 12 (same)
Delgado - 11 (should score about 3-4 more if he hit his FT's)
Gordon - 5 (limited role)
Rodriquez - 10 (wild card...I think he benefits with more looks from IW running the show)
Singh - 5 (feels right for a 10mpg guy)
Anderson - 4 (very few plays run for him....rebound/put-backs, etc.)

Bench-5 Total
Last year Anthony, Ajou and Ish all scored less than a point a game. Any points this group gets will be off of rebounds or an occasional dump-off. Soffer is the only scoring threat, but I don't see him getting off the bench unless there is an emergency.
Sanogo
Carter
Nzei
Anthony
Soffer

Total 68
