it's midnight, I'm on a flight back from a relaxing weekend in Vegas and old man Donnie is throwing out insults based on a post I made regarding my gay uncle who passed away. Maybe he doesn't like gays maybe he doesn't like me I don't know BUT What makes me laugh about this board is when you try to put perspective to something (why homophobes piss me off, my uncle) people like Donnie say ignorant things. I'm a low key, loyal supporter to SHU but the anger from a guy like Donnie boggles my mind. Give me a hard time about talking about donations, mentoring student athletes in my spare time - totally fine w that especially since I often throw that out there to turn the screws in guys like Donnie. But when I guy provides some prospective on why homophobic people aggravate him understand with the insults there is a line. That being said I'm not angry and not going to meet anyone in the bar for a rumble but I am going to say to myself "what the heck is so bad in that guys life that he says something like that a dead realitive of a fellow alumni?" And since I've got no desire to get angry about it I'll throw a smiley face or two.
