Check out the NY Post for the story.

Former St Johns walk on player is thought to be the serial killer for around 4 recent random shooting homicides in Tampa.

Of course I do. You made clever use of the word "random" at the expense of four people who were murdered. I don't think it was funny or appropriate.
If you understood what irony is you wouldn't be accusing me of that. I cannot imagine the drab world you must live in. However I suspect your fake moral outrage isn't really about what I said but it's an attack on me.

Wonder why he got kicked out of Tampa Catholic......I saw he went to three high schools in 4 years.....his poor parents.

So glad they've got the guy. Seminole Heights is an area going through serious gentrification, so it was a really nerve-wracking time for a lot folks down here. Very sad to read about innocents gunned down like that. We have a number of women real estate agents in our office that had worked the area very hard and they just stopped. On the other hand, they all carry, so you never know what you're up against in the Sunshine State. Tampa is a great town so hopefully it can go back to being itself again.

Not that this forum would prejudice anyone but change the headline to say he is accused. Your headline would indicate a finding of fact was already made.

He is guilty you don’t arrest a guy for 4 murders unless you have a slam dunk case.

They arrested O.J. And he walked. They arrested Casey Anthony and she walked. Arresting a suspect does not make a case a slam dunk.

I did not say conviction was slam dunk OJ and Casey Anthony obviously guilty defense just out lawyered prosecution it happens but I think prosecution thought they had slam dunk in both those cases

The headline of the Post article is so misleading. My friends who are die hard SJU fans didn’t know this guy. I don’t even think he was on the team for the whole year as a walk on. That was the year Lavin was sick and a bunch of their kids were ineligible (I think Sampson and the kid who pitches for the Reds now among them). I recall they had like 7 players.

Weren’t you the same poster who was morally outraged by the swim team cheering on the men’s basketball team while wearing their uniforms—speedo bathing suits?

I wasn't morally outraged. I just thought it was really weird. But why bring that up now????

Sadly, that was the safest that part of town has been in probably 70 years. The cops were all over the place and arresting people on warrants left and right. With the guy caught, the typical murders can keep happening there, they just won't be random. I assumed the shooter was someone sick of people moving into their neighborhood, I was wrong, but never would have dreamed this kid did it. St John's degree gets you a McDonald's job. Rough day.
