Random thought: Is it just me or is the quality of the broadcast (announcers aside) so much better on CBSSN than Fox now? Seems much sharper. Especially the score bug. đź‘Ť

Cbssn is a 1080 interlaced product
FS1 is a 720p product...

More data, detail/resolution happening on cbssn

What consumer product are you viewing on?

Thanks for that insight, what product would you recommend for sporting events vs movies? Not trying to turn this into a consumer reports discussion. Thanks

I like lappas. And the pbp guy was ok and they both did their homework. Glad they did a good job cause i watched it again last night. We won.
I like Lappas’ insights but both were overall bad as usual. Said Coleman was committed to Coastal Carolina. That was incorrect. Said Seton Hall had scored 6 straight points when both teams had back to back traded buckets.

I enjoy Lappas. Always love listening to basketball junkies like him rather than canned, rehearsed announcers.

Never been a Tom McCarthy fan. Not great at anything he does.

Next time there is a cbssn show or fs1 show you want to compare load the game on a laptop take hdmi out and put it to your available hdmi in and see if you see a difference...also if you have a smart hd tv there are different settings for cinema vs sports that some products allow you to cycle through

I like Tom McCarthy a lot, but I’m also used to him after watching him do the Phillies for the past 15 years all summer long. He’s familiar and pretty good for a guy who is not deeply involved in Big East basketball.

Overall, the CBS Sports Network production is far superior to the FS1 job. Those sloppy, juvenile score bugs and the shitty studio hosts wear on me after a while.
