What about Hurley's comments would lead you to believe he's pissed at Seton Hall. I mean, he might be, but i don't read anything into this comments other than to excuse RU's poor recruiting efforts.

As for taking on the fan base who has been suffering for 25 years, not a wise maneuver in my opinion by EJ. Why go there?

I bet he is pissed off at SHU for the booing Danny got, and I understand if that is true. But I saw nothing there to make me think he is.

Funny thing is, the kids that came here for four years all excelled. He sent two kids to SJU, one transferred, the other was kicked out of school. He sent a MCD AA to GU and he fizzled out.

They just have to be more educated in what the real deal is,” Jordan added. “If they understand what this conference is about, what type of players and teams we’re going against and the situation we’re in with injuries and being a young team. If they don’t understand that, I don’t need to read what their reaction is. I don’t care about their reaction, honestly.”

The injuries have hurt them, to be sure. But don't blame the conference when this program was better than this while playing in a better conference.

Didn't Bob also have some kind of beef with Gonzo and as a result it spilled over to SHU? And as far as that attending NJ HS games is not how college recruiting is done we have had coaches at tons of HS games for local talent over the years. Even the title in the newspaper by JP Pelzman is upgrade facilities, get NJ talent. A good way to get that talent might be to go to their games.

TOMD82. Thanks for posting that article. This is I guess like any but really this is the year that it is imperative that we make the NCAA Tourney. We have been playing basketball for a lot of years and been in only 9 NCAA tourneys and since PJ left 22 years ago we have been in three times. And none in the last 9 years. With RU and ST. JOHNS down we have to make a move. Also if we do lets hope that our best players come back next year because its time for the program to not only make it but to get in 2 3 or 4 years in a row and really establish our program as a good solid program. If we make it this year but then go 4 or 5 years with no appearances its not what we want. Now with that being said if we do lose 1 or 2 players to Europe or the draft and they were counseled to then they have to do whats best for themselves and their families. Villanove has been to the tourney I think 10 years under Jat Wright and Providence a school on par I uess with us has been there a few times under Ed Cooley. As far as Bob Hurley its a shame that he doesn't hold us in high regard. The evidence is after the 3 players PJ got from the school only Donald Copeland came as a FR. I remember Jalil Roberts transferred here but left. I thought last year at the midpoint was going to be the year and we faded. We really have to get in this year. Very important. Just have got to establish a strong year by year program.
