Going into this season, I thought the biggest question mark on our team was who was going to play the #4 spot for us. I thought it was going to be perhaps our team's biggest weakness. Five games in, I am happy to say, it now may be one of our team's biggest strengths.

The improvement in the play over the summer of Ish's game, is coming close to that of John Morton and Donald Copeland improvement of their games from their Junior to Senior years. He is a completely different, dramatically, much better, ball player. He is extremely adept around the basket and looks to possess very good form for a big man at the free throw line.

His back up, MN also is a pleasant surprise. He gets up and down the court like a gazelle and also seems to have very good form on the free throw line. Even more importantly, both men seem to rebound very well, taking much of the pressure off of AG, from having to get it all done basically alone in this area. What's even more exciting is both men will probably be four year players for us, meaning that we will have the benefit of seeing even improvement on their part in the next several years. GO PIRATES!

P.S. Two other things - In my close to 35 years of being a booster club member, going to the Charleston Classic was my very first trip involving airplane travel. I have always heard from other fellow members how great these trips are and now I understand why.

Vinnie really does a fabulous job putting them all together making them so worry free, enjoyable - Thank you Vinnie for doing that - Your efforts are greatly appreciated - We are all extremely blessed to have you associated with our school and team!

Also, for those of you who were not there, there was a very large contingent of our fans at the games, second only to the relatively close, recently winning Virginia fans. It is important to note after both our victories in the Bradley & Ole Miss games that all the members of our team, as they were leaving, turned around and gave our fans strong acknowledgement for being there. Thank you team for doing that - It really was a class act on your part!
