1. King Rice , Monmouth---young and knows NJ. Seems to have built a good team at Monmouth. Reminds me of
Amaker lite.

2. Seth Greenberg, former VA Tech coach.
He has alot of NJ history and connections.
He has alot of name recognition from being on TV.

3. John Dunne

4. The Calipari clone who was at Umass, Derek Kellogg

1. don't want another maac prospect
2. seth will retire at espn, never coaching again
3. don't want another maac prospect
4. don't think he'd want to come here

For those who can stomach another lower level D-I gamble, Kevin Cluess.

Not my favorite, but still miles better than what we have now.

YUP, just like you Vegas
And until just now I liked your posts. First one I ever disagreed with. Instead of going coach by coach and saying why they ain't coming (thought it was obvious) I gave an opinion. Guess you're thin skinned like KW. Too bad.

Only one that I would want is Derek Kellog. I mentioned him at the end of last year. But if they have another good year, he, too, will be going somewhere better than SHU.

Kellogg is generally well-spoken about (to my poor knowledge, such as it may be). Perhaps the Zoo Mass basketball fan realizes that even the Favorite Son cannot seem to grow the program out of its current level and thus is down on Kellogg.

THAT SAID, if in the end the only thing that matters are the elite players, then we might as well hire a bald-headed quacking zombie instead of trying to hire a brilliant 9-dimensional chess player for a coach.

I'm taking this from another post, but it works here, too, with regard to hiring out of the MAAC:

I don't think we should eliminate coaches from that league just because our past few MAAC hires have been unsuccessful. They failed for a variety of reasons. Willard cannot lead young men, Gonzalez became increasingly unstable and had his ability to recruit curtailed by "The Boss" (and I don't mean Joe Quinlan or Bruce Springsteen), and Louis Orr was ... well, we've been through it before. His failure is a complex, multifaceted issue. But none of those guys failed at Seton Hall because they came from the MAAC. If the right fit is there, I'm interested.
