As it was explained to me the mRNA technology speeds up the development of a vaccine much faster than a traditional way a vaccine is created. What we really don’t know right now is if the spike proteins will end up traveling and attaching them to other cells over time creating auto immune diseases. We are essentially running a clinical trial while we are commercialize in the use of the product.

Precisely why a very good friend of mine, a double PhD research scientist working for a small biotech firm that was heavily in the news this year, is reluctant to take the new vaccine. The unknowns. She’d much rather take the AstraZeneca vaccine that is based on much more proven technology.

Exactly what I was told as well about the AZ vaccine.

Frightening. I won't be taking any mRNA vaccine. If they come out with a traditional vaccine using weakened virus, I'd consider taking that.
