This is one of those catch phrases that sounds really good and gets used all the time. After yesterday’s announcement I just don’t get a warm and fuzzy feeling like we have everything under control. I Give the administration some credit for at least admitting their mistake and saying sorry. Not an easy thing since most everything getting done seems to be a mistake lately. Hard to defend most of the decisions so far. The reality of over the horizon capabilities in any administration is a bitter pill to swallow. In my opinion, I fully expect to see an escalation of terror attacks around the world after 6 months. I imagine it’s going to be easier getting new recruits when we start missing and killing women and children. In an emergency who on this board feels like we have the right people In charge of our families safety? How long before we are using the billion word again with North Korea?

Any form of Over the Horizon requires identifying the targets. Historically this has been done with onsite eyes and ears. Technology has allowed us to more of that remotely. Artillery is a older form of OTH. It requires spotters to identify the targets. For more sophisticated OTH like missiles or drones, you still need to ID the target. Some of that can be done remoted via drones, satellites, and flyovers. Sometimes you need onsite eyes and ears with foreign or US operatives.

Regarding our families safety, that is wide issue. I believe our military has the greatest capability of all nations. I am not confident in the current amination to properly direct that capability.

I think you also have to consider border security, policing, Covid, etc., when you look at family safety. I think a day visit to new York City has much more risk now than two years ago. The influx of criminals, drugs, and disease at the southern border is alos a great threat.

To be fair I turned on CNN and even they were talking about killing 10 civilians. Hard to cover up all the mistakes, there are just too many to hide. Approval rating is dropping and I think we unfortunately are just getting started. The approval of 3.5 trillion will crushed this country. No end in sight to the insanity of the last 20 years with regards to spending.

That $3.5 trillion plan is just another example of the incompetence and tone deafness. Just a huge spending plan that will drive inflation.

I'm not so sure. Many big companies and the media have gone full woke and the woke minority is a very loud and influential one. America at large remains middle of the road, but ordinary citizens don't have the power and influence on a daily basis as these entities do. The vocal minority controls the message.

Unfortunately too late our educational books in schools are being rewritten. A good friend of mine who works for a PR agency in the city told me there biggest client publishes these new text books. They are paid many millions of dollars promoting the new books. Rewriting history while most of our generation is distracted by politics at hand. Of course the client is a huge Democratic donor. Enough said sadly WOKE is here to stay.
