What does the existence of this thread tell us? We have been irrelevant for so long that we have little to feel good about.

This shows a long history of success in a densely populated state, that is a part of one of the great metropolitan centers of the world.

I like being the best team in NJ, but that is not good enough. We have to strive to being the best in the Big East and then up from there. We did it once before and hopefully can do it again.

Monmouth has better non conference wins than the Hall and we lost to Long Beach (who is a middle of the road team in the Big West). C'mon. Plus Monmouth has more buzz than Seton Hall now. That's sad.

Monmouth lost to Canisus and has three losses. Let's see how they do in conference. No doubt they are playing well now.

Monmouth has played 1 home game, which happens to be against the 1 team both teams played against (Wagner) to date. Monmouth held them to 5 fewer points and scored 9 more points than SH did. To date, I'd say they are SH's equals this year on a worst case basis. Yikes!

Objectively MU's wins are more impressive than ours. Canisius is an ouch but the rest of the performance is a headline maker.

We won't really know about ourselves for about a month. It all starts against WSU this Saturday.

Doesn't it tick off the hardcore Seton Hall fan that Rice and Monmouth are getting a ton of local and national media coverage and the Hall has absolutely little to no buzz w/this program. Can barely get anybody in the area to cover men's games. Is this fanbase that turned off now? Appears so.

This is the time of the year for teams like Monmouth to generate attention for themselves. And they'll probably keep it up for the rest of the season. Good for them.

Question is, who is more likely to have a new coach next year: Monmouth, Seton Hall or Rutgers?
