Anyone who lives in PA has to enjoy the hilarious cat fight commercials between Dr Oz and McCormick. Sad state of affairs from the republican offering. One side you have Dr Oz, the Rino lunatic celebrity swindler best known for oprah vs Mcormick, the hedge fund trumper from connecticut who pretends to be PA heartland with racist undertones.

these smear campaigns arent even followed by promotional ads about themselves. just a reality show cat fight.

this isnt unusual, but with these two its particularly hilarious.

Whoever lives in Philadelphia must also enjoy the disgusting hole that city has become….but I will note it still has some beautiful buildings, architecture….shame so far fewer people enjoy it

huh? its been awesome for me. fantastic. come visit ill show you. amazing restaurants too. japanese cherry blossom and ginko trees will be here soon. way less disgusting than nyc. im not living in the concentrated neighborhood of north or west philly.

also, not sure what that has to do with the topic at hand. the cat fight is hilarious. maybe i mentioned someone youre a fan of?

Philadelphia has always been that way.

I relatively frequently visit all major cities on the east coast from Boston to DC-much more before pandemic. Glad you like it. I don’t.

I don’t particularly care about either pol but I don’t have a dislike for Oz based on what I’ve seen.

New Jersey
ahh the town of new jersey! that narrows it down. jersey stinks. worst highway system on the planet, secaucus, linden cogeneration plant, yikes! i think mad max was filmed there. philadelphia is bad? you ever been to newark, trenton, camden? 3 of the bottom 6 cities in US. outside of farms nj solely reliant on the cities it sits in between. armpit!!

see how that works.

Philadelphia is a dump. Some areas of New Jersey are that way, including those you mentioned. Most are not.

where do you visit? sounds like you stay centralized to market st. DC is nice, not a typical walking city though. boston? go have fun living there.

and youre right, Oz actually comes off as the morw likeable candidate

IMO the only city worse than Philadelphia on the east coast is Baltimore. I'm not a huge fan of cities in general though. I do like DC.

nah. parts of philadelphia a dump, other parts are fantastic. and surrounding areas are very nice. lots of history too. we all know your scardy pants view of cities. and your vaunted propensity for having fun.

so where is your oasis specifically?

Surrounding areas such as Camden, Media, Chester, Bensalem, Gloucester City. LOL.

Media is pretty nice. ridley creek state park? sounds like you dont know much at all. chestnut hill, mainline, bluebel, kop.

every place has good an bad areas. still wont tell me what town in jersey? prob cause you know its boring, sandwiched by ghettos, and 5 min drive to a massive strip mall or fast food highway in any direction. i know that because thats the entirety of new jersey.

I'm not going to tell you where I live on a public forum. Seems like you haven't been to most parts of NJ if you think that.

You went to college in NJ. Guess it wasn't much of a dump then.

At the risk of getting Cancelled by Rolodex, I know Pat Toomey personally. Lotsa people were disappointed when he decided not to run. He is quite intelligent and principled.

The two current candidates are disappointing.

huge dump. the whole shu moniker is "dont go right out of campus." really you shouldnt go straight for too long either. lived in jersey for 10+ years. its why i think that.

your cherry picked arguments about pa are the same ones that can be directed at nj.

NJ is a dump if you're generally within 5-8 miles of the parkway or turnpike (especially in the north, not so much in the south, especially the southern part off the parkway). Outside of that, many nice areas.

thats how it is anywhere. generally if you dont live in the freezing cold states you can find a nice place to live somewhere. including philly and pa.

dammit...I'm 4.7 miles off the parkway. haha.

Although Willard is about a mile closer to it than I am

The good news is we are likely to see Pat run for president.

Didn’t Philly set an all-time record for homicides last year?

Even before?

Of course, a great tool to build relationships with key companies I was targeting.

I switched industries begginning of the pandemic so I dont know if tradeshows will be as fruitful in my new industry.

Uhm, this is generally not true. I’ll just give an example of the wealthy towns just 5-8 miles from the Parkway. Montclair, Glen Ridge, Summit, Westfield, Milburn just to name a few are some of the wealthiest towns in not only NJ but the US. And that’s just talking about two northern counties.

The traffic, congestion and old infrastructure in those areas is why I included them.
