Well for 4 years you have people saying the polls weren’t far off 4 years ago because of the popular vote. Can’t have it both ways.

And pop vote by 5mil...its great that about 2/3 of registered voters came out to vote, registered voters to country population this is best participation since 1900...however based on results in particular states the margins will trigger automatic recounts

Either way, they were still WAY off.
I go by RealClear Politics which averages all polls. So according to RCP Georgia had it as a toss up, Arizona national average was .09 in the polls for Biden, Nevada was 2.4 for Biden, Pa was 1.2. Therefore, while some individual polls were off, the average of them were on target. Now where the polls went wrong was in Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio. Also, the popular vote won't be anywhere close to an 6-8% win.

That's pretty significant. GA might still be in play, given that there are several thousand absentee military votes remaining. Also may mean no runoff between Purdue and Ossoff. PA and Nevada look to be done deals. Hopefully Donnie exhausts his legal challenges, his recounts, and fades into the sunset.

They were very wrong. Appears almost all of them did not anticipate turnout being so high. Hard to predict behavior but gotta give credit to the Trump campaign for getting people mobilized. That's what these rallies were all about and they were effective. Also directly responsible for spreading the virus and at least 700 people dead... but hey... he kept it close I guess.

So people who went to rallies and chose not to take precautions, and either died or exposed others who died bear no responsibility ?

Didn't say that. Just saying the complete disregard for the safety of his loyal followers was pretty gross.

I had no issue with the rallies. Can't live your life in bubble wrap.

Why is the opposite of a rally living in bubble wrap?
You can’t imagine anything in between those two options?

It's a metaphor. Lighten up and don't take everything as two extremes.

philly voting center had to be evacuated for bomb threats... yea and only unrest if trump wins. this sub swings and misses again.

These idiots probably never read the constitution and heard on the news “where does it say protests need to be peaceful”

In all seriousness this is not good. Hopefully it’s just one isolated incident and these guys are brought to justice. Instead of feeling sorry for people these people and all the rioters and looters deserve to face the consequences of law and order. All of them. Politicians should be ashamed of themselves for all of those they bailed out and these guys shouldn’t be bailed out either.

You’re so right. People are not capable of making their own decisions.

Yes. People are capable of making their own decisions. Sometimes those decisions are really stupid, but they are still free to make them.

But it was irresponsible of Trump to hold rallies without any regard for the safety of his supporters.

Buried (not that deep) in your point is that people are too dumb to make decisions. You are saying it intentionally or unintentionally. You’re not dumb so I think you can see that.

since when has our government been concerned about the health of the people? Go to your nearest Dunkin’ Donuts and see how long it takes to find 3 people walking out of the store in a row in which one isn’t obese. Go read up on how processed meats are horrible for diabetes, but the fda promotes these processed meats to diabetics. Countless other examples of how politicians couldn’t care less about the health of America.

Over 30 million people still smoke in this country. Our lack of care about ourselves is supported rather well. It’s the lack of care for others that bothers me.

Smoking isn’t just lack of care for yourself. Second hand smoke for others.
people need to make their own smart decision but they are not only set up for failure, they are guided to failure at every turn.

This is the entire point. The government pushes whatever narrative it wants. Should we or should we not look deeper into elections they run or take them at their word. At this point I hope Biden wins, but I hope Trump can expose any corruption if there is any. I'm at the point where I'm watching this like watching Supersize Me. Expose the truth, whatever that truth is.

haha bad analogy considering trump's accurate nickname is McDonald trump. but i get the point.

MSM has no problems with the mass gatherings celebrating Biden’s win...too funny

Only person more unhappy than Trump tonight is Hillary.

Good opportunity for Biden to set the tone tonight.

That’s one thing I don’t understand about the criticisms of MSM. Are you just sitting around watching TV all day switching between various MSM outlets? Of course not... How do you know that MSM has no problems with it?

It took less than a minute to find an example... and it was a response to Fox. Are you sure you’re not just looking at one MSM outlet telling you the others are all bad? Too funny indeed.

Also, who cares about Hillary. I hope we hear as much from Trump over the next 4 years as we did from her over the last 4 which was very little.

Lol...flipping back and forth between CBS and ABC....lauding the celebratory crowds.

No sense of humor about HRC? Tell me it’s not true.

Phoning in a bomb threat from a pay phone when you very likely don't even have an M80 is a far cry from the actual violence that has been taking place in Philly lately - and the city would have burned had Trump won.

the guys had guns in their vehicle... i understand what youre saying. the entire city burns when good things happen too. its a misconception to lump it to "the city"... its been an amazing place all summer tbh and not a creature was stirring on election night when trump was winning. but i didnt want to see the outcome should trump win.

the unrest you speak of isnt strictly partisan. its against a millionaire wannabe dictator who tells white supremecists to stand by and treats police relation issues like gas on fire.

potentially shooting up a voting center because your candidate lost is scarier to some.

I just never understood the "wannabe dictator" characterization of Trump throughout his time in office from those on the left. Every POTUS abuses the Constitution, but Trump has done that less than most of his predecessors.

Hell, Gov. Murphy has signed more executive orders in the past 8 months than Trump signed in 4 years. Maybe not, but Trump signed the fewest in many, many years.

It absolutely is partisan, and the apologists watching what's happened since George Floyd was killed and blaming instigators/white supremacists - or denying/justifying it outright - are still lying. All the evidence I need is the nationwide calm and quiet, compared to what hell-on-earth would have been unleashed in many US cities, had Trump won (I wasn't picking on just Philly).
