Whether or not IW is the best player in the league can be debated.

IW's ball-handling, scoring ability, recent 3-pt shooting accuracy, man-to-man defense, shot blocking and rebounding abilities make him one of, if not the best player within the Big East basketball conference, in 2016! But that's just an opinion.

His nerve sets him apart for me. Whether hot or cold, when a play has to be made, he goes for it.
Lost in all the chatter about IW and Desi is the fact that our big man is what makes this team legit. Angel is shooting like 60% and is the main reason we're cleaning up the glass every night. I love this guy.
He has a knack for taking and hitting the big shot when we really need it. That long three he hit in the second half was huge and we needed that. He does it time and again.
Yep. Only negative for him today is the couple hot dog passes he tried in the 2H. The one where Hall had the ball up I think 19 and Xavier got a quick 5-0 run off could have been a big swing...but then IW hits another dagger 3.
I assume KW will have a chat about that, but you certainly will take a couple plays like that and deal with it. Guy has been the best player in the league for 3 weeks with one hiccup vs STJ, but even then had the stones to bury 2 FTs...

Bingo...he has the ability to make the play and wants to have it in his hands...takes the responsibility and outcome good or bad. I'm just enjoying a special player.
KW's post game interview he said that he lets IW do whatever he wants on O as long as he continues to play great D. Asked about that attempted pass and Williard said he could take that anyday. Not sure if it was tongue in cheek.
Actually, watching the replay the pass was there. Defender made a good play. If it is a normal bounce pass that gets stolen, not that big a deal. Team and crowd feeds off IW spectacular plays; some will not work out. IW made up for it with some great play.
IW was the not the best SHU player on the court today. That would have been Rodriquez or Delgado.
