Biggest thing was the stolen base in my opinion. Phillies had no answer. It was a free 90 feet pretty much whenever Arizona wanted it.
Turners missed bunt in the 5th where he eventually grounded out to third was huge too. Not getting Schwarber to third with 1 out for Harper or Bohm if they walked Harper was big.

Living in a Philadelphia media market is quite entertaining. Every night on the local news, the first 20 minutes is dedicated to the Phillies or Eagles if they are playing. All they do is interview drunk fans at the stadium or in a bar or on the street. Hilarious.
I don’t think anybody in this market knows what’s going on in Israel, Gaza, Washington, etc….Amazing.
The Philadelphia A's? I know they won a few and the bar is not really that high...

That was one game. They lived and died by the home run ball all series. They didn't manufacture many runs outside the long ball in 6 of the 7 games. Long ball was not there in either of the last 2 games.
The answer is probably the Philadelphia Athletics going back to the days of Connie Mack.

The Philadelphia Athletics with five still hold the Philadelphia professional sports record for championship despite the fact they left the city after the 1954 season. In fact, even though it has been more than 90 years since their last WS appearance (1931) they still have more WS appearances than the Phillies (eight to seven).

Interesting stats regarding Connie Mack the coach of the Philadelphia A's. Coached the team for 50 years (that's right) with 5 championships, 5 100 win seasons, also finished last 17 times too. Retired at 87. My mother was from Philly and used to talk about going to games and seeing him.

Connie Mack was also the originator of the teardown. He dismantled the Athletics on two different occasions after multiple World Series appearances resulting in extended down periods.
In the Ken Burns baseball series Connie Mack was quoted as saying that the ideal thing was for his team to finish in 4th place because you are still in the pennant race to keep attendance up but since his team did not win, he did not have to give the players raises.

Great game 1 of the WS going on. The Diamondbacks have some crazy WS history for such a (still) young franchise. That's now their third straight road World Series game where they've had a two run, game-tying home run go against them in the bottom of the ninth inning.
