I can’t see Scotty anywhere but a 3. I can’t see Harmon anywhere but 1, I can’t see Godswill and Manny anywhere but C but the rest of the players seem versatle.

Reasons
C- I know Gus is labeled a PF but to get the most talent on the floor, he may have to play C.
PF- Toumi pretty agile for big, tall, has offensive and positional height
SF- best 3pt shooter and positional height
SG - steady player knows system
PG - positional height, shifty and good on D plus can score.

If Coleman, Dual, Prince, Manny or even Harmon start, I won’t be surprised. Anyone else I would though

I think DAW is a likely starter because of experience and familiarity alone. Plus folks are hearing positive things.

Would be floored if Dual is not a starter.

Don’t know what type of pressure there is for Scotty to start and how Coleman fits into that.

I have no idea, so I'm going to go with a more physical/defensive lineup as I'm not sure Toumi can play defense at center in the BE.

Dual
Addae-Wusu
Coleman
Aligbe
Okorafor

Then Middleton and Toumi get major minutes along with Jenkins. Middleton could be the breakout star this year, IMO. Harmon as the change of pace PG. Eheriene forms a center platoon. That's a 10-man rotation already.

I think we could see sparks off the bench at times from Yalden, Tubek, and Felton.

Toumi at center
Prince at pf
Scotty and isaiah
Garwey

Just for fun

PG Dual
2G DAW
SF Coleman or Middleton
PF Aligbe
C Manny

Dual
Dae Wusu
Coleman
Middleton
Toumi

Off the bench quick. Prince, Okafor, Jenkins, Harmon and Bus

Middleton told me they were very high on Felton

Dual
Addae-Wusu
Coleman
Aligbe
Okorafor

Sha sets the tone with defense. Scotty as sixth man but may be starting by mid-December.

I think Scotty gives us a little more offense without giving up too much D. The other 4 positions are with the strongest defenders.

That's what I had with Coleman and Middleton interchangeable.

If Scotty comes off the bench that's instant offense. Don't sell Middleton short on D.

Oh, just saw your five. Scotty got the D message, as all of his posts/interviews point to it. If he brings it on that side of the floor, even better.

I think this combination is spot on, and my only hesitation was whether it would be an issue if both Coleman and Middleton were not starting.

Probably more about minutes as I could see both in that 25 mpg range.

Agreed. Should always be more about minutes, than starting IMO. And who finishes tends to mean more than who starts anyway.

But alas college basketball these days....

If Sha can keep this roster happy, all the power to him.

You raise a good point in who finishes will be differs than who starts. Close game, Harmon probably on the floor for ball handling and FT shooting.

PG - Harmon (20 mins) Dual (20 mins - starter)

SG - Wusu (18 minutes - starter) Jenkins - 22 minutes)

SF/PF (Wings)
Coleman - 25 mins
Middleton - 25 Mins
Aligbe - 15 minutes (at the 4)
Toumi - 10 minutes (at the 4)
Tubek - 5 minutes

C
Toumi - 15 minutes (at the 5)
Yalden - 15 minutes
Manny - 5 minutes
Aligbe - 5 minutes (at the 5)

If Sha really intends to play an 8 to 10 man rotation the starting 5 means very little .
But the always announce them lol. What player doesnt want to start. If you didnt start and then you do, its a promotion if you did and then you didnt, its a demotion and we wonder what they did wrong to lise tgeir starting gig

Starters won’t matter but against BE teams I expect:

-Manny
-Yancine
-Middleton
-Dylan
-Garwey

I was going to say, it definitely matters to the kids who starts, and probably who finishes, and I think coaches emphasize the latter more than the former. Whether a player buys in, who knows.

With a true 8 man rotation I don’t see any issue. With 10 it can become trickier with these kids, because they all have different goals, egos and expectations. I once had a kid major assistant tell me that I would be shocked at how many of his kids thought they were pros - NBA or at worst that after a stint in the developmental league or top overseas league - despite obvious objective evidence indicating otherwise.

I agree with this. It is possible that Sha may start Middleton over Coleman initially. I guess it depends on what message he wants to send. All of these players will see the floor. I can see Jenkins being Mr. Reliable as the season moves along. Hopefully, there will be enough firepower this season to prevent those several minute scoring droughts.
PG - Dual
SG - Addae-Wusu
WF - Coleman
PF - Aligbe
C - Toumi

Imo if this team as it is seen today has 10 kids playing 15 mpg it can work. If after a bunch of games it is clear we have 2 stars, then it gets more difficult

I have a feeling the center position will mostly be manny and godswill especially if they are modeling it after St. Peter’s.

Hope I’m wrong but I don’t see Yacine playing C much. Possibly no Gus there either.

I do as while he may have trouble with some opposing centers, they’ll have just as much trouble with him. He’s one of our 5 best players.
I agree that he could be a matchup problem at center , also agree prob one of the 5 best. But I disagree that Sha will start him at center or play him more at center than PF. I think Sha should but he won’t given his history of platoon centers and how he uses his centers.
