LAST GAME
Sophomore Savannah Catalon (Mansfield, Texas) scored a game-high 20 points on her birthday to help lift the Pirates to a 67-46 victory over Sacred Heart in historic Walsh Gymnasium on Monday.
Although not a standout offensive effort, The Hall used its swarming defense, which has become its calling card early this season. The Pirates held Sacred Heart to only 46 points and 30.8 percent shooting from the floor, and forced 19 turnovers.
Catalon had 20 points on an efficient 7-for-11 shooting from the floor, including 3-for-5 from three-point range. Faith Masonius (Spring Lake, N.J.) had 14 points to go with five rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks in another strong all-round performance.

Seton Hall and Le Moyne will meet for the first time in history on Saturday.
SCOUTING LE MOYNE
Le Moyne's new coaching staff features a pair of former Pirates. Head coach Nick DiPillo served on The Hall's staff for five years, becoming an assistant coach for his final two seasons. Assistant coach Mya Jackson played for the Pirates from 2019-22, scoring 800 career points in a Seton Hall uniform.
Le Moyne is coming off an 18-15 season in 2023-24, which featured an impressive 14-2 mark in Northeast Conference play. The second-seeded Dolphins fell in the NEC championship game to top-seeded Sacred Heart. Their season came to an end with a 91-86 loss at Niagara in the opening round of the WNIT.
This season, a completely new-look Le Moyne squad is picked to finish third in the nine-team NEC. The Dolphins return seven players from the 2023-24 squad, and add four transfer student-athletes along with two freshmen.
Le Moyne has had a rough start to the 2024-25 season. The Dolphins are off to an 0-9 start and have lost their nine games by an average margin of -28.1 points per game. Most recently, they fell to UMass Lowell, 69-56, on Saturday. Haedyn Roberts currently leads the team with 11.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
