Sloppy 2nd half. Once they built the lead to 16 they started to play so fast and let Marquette chip away.

That Eads girls can fly. Helluva game for her. Glad they hung on. I think MQ is a bad 3 point team but they buried a bunch to make it close.

Injury update

Catalon maybe by the St. John's game.

Pinkney probably out for the year.

6-4 Parker maybe 2-4 weeks. Depends on how she responds to contact practices.

Tony is always so positive that when he talks sometimes few believe him. But this year he has been on target. As I posted after the Beefsteak he told me we would be battling Creighton for 2nd place and if we were healthy we could have been 6-0 in the conference to date instead of 5-1.

He also told me we had the two best frosh guards in the league. He was right on Eads. She's a stud and Craft finally had a big game last night. So hopefully she now fulfills Tony's praise.

Dan, even with the injuries they are right there. I'd say Creighton is a notch better because of more high ended and experienced players. I just wish there was another defensive strategy they could use late in games. Maybe its just players not staying disciplined and they try to "overhelp" so to speak. Give the Creighton gal credit for hitting two very tough threes at Walsh and then four in the last quarter again last night by Marquette. This has been the defining issue for many years and has led to so many heartbreaking losses. If they can fix that they would be an NCAA Tournament Program. They are close.
