NOTES YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • The Seton Hall men's basketball team returns to the friendly confines of the Prudential Center on Wednesday as they host Northeastern at 6:30 p.m. on FS2.
  • The Pirates are back from the West Coast where they went 0-2 at the Rady Children's Invitational against two teams ranked in the top 40 in KenPom (No. 33 USC, 71-63; No. 40 Iowa, 85-72).
  • Seton Hall nearly erased two significant double-digit deficits before ultimately falling both games.
  • Dre Davis was named to the Rady Children's Invitational All-Tournament Team after averaging 16.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game in the Pirates' two games.
  • After being named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week last Monday, Isaiah Coleman continued to be a key contributor off the bench for the Pirates in San Diego where he averaged 21 minutes, 5.0 points, 3.0 boards, 2.5 steals and 1.5 assists per contest.
  • Jaden Bediako proved to be a force against the strong competition last week as he posted 11.5 points on 58 percent shooting with 9.0 rebounds per game and registered a double-double performance (11 pts, 11 reb) against Iowa, his second of the season and sixth of his career.
  • Bediako leads the BIG EAST and ranks eighth in the country with 4.3 offensive rebounds per game and he ranks fourth nationally in offensive rebounding percentage (21 percent).
  • The Pirates lead the BIG EAST in steals per game (9.5 spg) and they're paced by Kadary Richmond and Dylan Addae-Wusu who both own 14 steals.
  • Seton Hall has been highly efficient from the free throw line through six games where they've shot 78 percent (87-of-111), a clip that ranks third in the BIG EAST and 22nd nationally.
  • Dre Davis' 91 percent clip (19-of-21) paces the Pirates from the charity stripe
INSIDE THE SERIES: NORTHEASTERN

  • This will only be the third all-time meeting between Seton Hall and Northeastern.
  • The last meeting between the two schools was on Dec. 17, 1982 when the Pirates fell to the Huskies, 74-61, in the Atlantic City Classic held at Atlantic City Convention Hall.
  • Two BIG EAST coaching legends coached in that game as Jim Calhoun led Northeastern and P.J. Carlesimo was in his first season as head coach at Seton Hall.

From its schedule, it seems as if N'eastern is good notch above the first four area teams we played.
Seems to be a team that allows about 80 points per game. Pretty consistent about what they've given up since their 2nd game on.

Fs2 broadcasters wont be on site

Funny one recently when Casey Jacobsen did color on one of our home games and then afterward was in the FS1 studio in Los Angeles. I mean, can they at least try to maintain the illusion?

Just happy its on TV --guess cause I go to games ,I do not care when rewatching Peeps telling me what I saw

The announcing is going to suck tonight. Let's all get to the game instead.
It's a game on FS2 with their end of the bench game broadcasting team.

At least they know our guys since it's the second game this pairing has done in the past couple of weeks and Jacobsen's fourth of our last five.

More of just a comment for those who can make a game to go to the game instead of listening to the announcers
