SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall men's soccer team (6-5-2, 2-4-1 BIG EAST) looks to keep its late-season push going when it plays host to Xavier (4-7-5, 2-4-1 BIG EAST) on Saturday at Owen T. Carroll Field. Saturday is Senior Night at The Hall, with kick-off set for 6 p.m. on the BIG EAST Digital Network and FOX Sports app.

Prior to Saturday's match, the Pirates will honor its 14-member senior class of: Francisco Alderete, Nico Andersen, David Arvidsson, Christian Buitrago, Corey Burkhardt, Spencer Burkhardt, Juan Camilo Abella, Peyton Elder, Tomas Greco, Nick Najera, Marco Neves, Brandon Sabinsky, Gabriel Viola and Morten Wenaas. There will also be cookies and hot chocolate provided to fans in attendance courtesy of Gourmet Dining Services.

The Hall is coming off a huge win on Wednesday night, picking up three BIG EAST points on the road with a 2-1 victory at Butler. Xavier was also in action on Wednesday and fell at home to DePaul by a score of 1-0. The Pirates and Musketeers currently sit tied for seventh in the BIG EAST standings with seven points apiece, both one point out of the crucial sixth place position for BIG EAST Championship qualification.

  • The Pirates are led offensively by the high-scoring forward duo of CJ Tibbling (Järna, Sweden) and Carlton McKenzie (Birmingham, England), who have scored team-highs of five and three goals this season, respectively
  • Both Tibbling and McKenzie tallied in the second half at Butler on Wednesday to help The Hall erase a 1-0 halftime deficit
  • Tibbling is ninth in the BIG EAST in total goals and is fifth in the league with three goals in conference play

  • The Pirates are 1-4-0 all-time against Xavier, with each of the last two meetings decided by one goal
  • In XU's last trip to South Orange, Nathan Tremonti (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) buried a late winner in a 2-1 victory for The Hall
