The Hall led by only one point at the break, but held Xavier without a field goal for more than a full quarter and scoreless for 8:08 between the third and fourth quarters to pull away. The Pirates held the Musketeers to just 28 percent shooting from the floor in the second half.

Baines had a strong all-around game, leading The Hall with 14 points and eight rebounds to go with three assists, three steals and three blocks.

In fact, Xavier has lost 34 consecutive regular season BIG EAST games. Most recently, Xavier lost at home to No. 21 Creighton, 77-46, on Tuesday. Mackayla Scarlett leads the team with 14.4 points per game. Nila Blackford is registering 8.5 points and a team-best 8.4 rebounds per contest.
