NOTES YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The Seton Hall men's basketball team will look to sweep the regular season series with DePaul on Sunday when the Pirates take on the Blue Demons in Chicago at 6 p.m. Eastern.
  • Seton Hall lost its fifth one-possession game of the season on Tuesday against Providence.

  • Aligbe has registered a career-best nine double-figure scoring games this season after arriving in South Orange with 12 double-figure scoring games in two seasons at Boston College.
  • Aligbe has scored in double-digits in six of Seton Hall's last seven games.
  • Seton Hall's recent struggles have not been helped by a rash of injuries to its backcourt with Chaunce Jenkins missing the last three games with a knee injury.
  • After a bounce back performance at Butler with 21 points and four assists, Jenkins suffered an injury in the second half against St. John's and has not played since.
  • The Pirates are 4-2 on the season when Chaunce Jenkins is their leading scorer.
  • Jenkins, who left with a hamstring injury in the second half against the Red Storm, scored 21 points and dished out four assists in the Pirates's loss at Butler.
  • Dylan Addae-Wusu has played the two games after following a three-game absence with a foot injury.
  • Addae-Wusu, who scored 13 points and tallied four steals against Providence, is the Pirates' second-leading scorer in BIG EAST play (12.3 ppg) and leads the team in assists (3.0 apg).
  • Addae-Wusu went over 400 career assists on Tuesday against the Friars and he now has 1,000 career points, 400 assists and 200 steals.
  • Addae-Wusu trails only Creighton's Ryan Kalkbrenner for the most career BIG EAST games played among active players with 85.
  • Saturday's game will be the 116th all-time meeting between Seton Hall and Providence.
  • Isaiah Coleman has come into his own in conference play where he trails only Villanova's Eric Dixon in scoring averaging 20.6 points per game against BIG EAST foes.
  • Coleman is two games removed from a career-best performance as he scored a personal-high 27 points and finished one rebound shy of his second career double-double against Marquette.
  • Coleman also ranks 10th in the conference averaging 6.3 rebounds per game and 10th shooting 84 percent from the line against BIG EAST foes.
  • Coleman is one of only four Pirates since 1988 to score at least 15 points in the first five BIG EAST games of the season joining Mark Bryant (1987-88), Terry Dehere (1992-93) and Myles Powell (2019-20).
  • Coleman has scored in double-figures in 11 of his last 13 games and five of those outputs were 20-point performances against BIG EAST teams.
  • After struggling from the free throw line through the first month of the season, Seton Hall has bounced back since the start of conference play shooting 74 percent (161-of-217) from the stripe.
  • Stepping up in a time of need in the Seton Hall backcourt, Garwey Dual has shown signs of improvement over the last four games where he has averaged 9.3 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 steals in 32.4 minutes per game.
