PHILADELPHIA -- After a 3-0 start in a season-opening homestand, the Seton Hall women's basketball team hits the road for the first time in 2015-16 with a trip to Philadelphia and a visit to Saint Joseph's (0-1). Tip-off with the Hawks at Hagan Arena on Saturday is set for 2 p.m.
The Pirates are 3-0 for the second time under third-year head Coach Anthony Bozzella after wins over Bryant, Rutgers and most recently No. 24 Princeton at Walsh Gymnasium. The trio of wins improved The Hall to 28-7 in non-conference play under Bozzella and 21-0 in those contests at Walsh Gym. Seton Hall is 7-4 all-time against Saint Joseph's, including a 77-60 victory over Walsh on Nov. 30, 2014.
SETON HALL TIP-INS
- Seton Hall concluded a seaosn-opening homestand at a perfect 3-0 after knocking off No. 24 Princeton on Thursday night by a score of 71-64
- The Hall has also secured wins over Bryant (93-57) and Rutgers (77-49) this season
- Tabatha Richardson-Smith (Bay City, Texas) leads The Hall with 18.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game; she is currently third in the BIG EAST in scoring and fifth in rebounding
- Against Rutgers on Nov. 16, Head coach Anthony Bozzella won his 50th game in his 70th contest overall at The Hall, becoming the fastest coach in program history to reach the half-century mark
- The Pirates are 3-0 for the second time in three seasons under Bozzella
- Seton Hall forced 17 Princeton turnovers on Thursday and is +27 in turnover margin this season
- Tiffany Jones (New York, N.Y.), Aleesha Powell (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Shakena Richardson (Neptune, N.J.), along with Richardson-Smith, have all scored in double-figures in every game this season.

Pirates Pull Away From Saint Joseph's 77-60
Following a 30-point performance on Saturday, graduate guard Daisha Simmons scored 25 on Sunday to lead the Seton Hall women's basketball team to a 77-60 victory over Saint Joseph's in the SHU Thanksgiving Classic Championship. The Pirates defended their 2013 tournament title as four players scored in double-figures for Seton Hall. Simmons was crowned the tournament MVP, finishing with 55 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 steals on the weekend.
