SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall women's volleyball Head Coach Allison Yaeger announced today that Faith LaMacchia (Rockville Centre, N.Y.), Hanna Tulli (Collegeville, Pa.) and Jenna Walsh (Foothill Ranch, Calif.) will join the program and compete for the Pirates this fall.

LaMacchia was a setter for South Side High School and a team captain, leading her team to a conference title during the 2018-19 season and a fourth-place finish statewide in 2019-20. An All-County selection in 2019, she is a six-time high honor roll member and plans to major in Business.

Tulli is a talented middle blocker that is a three-time All-State First Team selection. A captain and four-year starter, she led Pope John Paul II High School to two conference titles and led them in kills all four years. The 6-foot-2 Tulli also received First and Second academic honors each year of her high school career.

Walsh has been an offensive force for Tabuco Hills High School, earning First Team All-League recognition as a junior. Also a track & field star, the outside hitter had a match-high 19 kills in the Division II Championship finals in 2018. A two-time AVCA Phenom Watch List member, Walsh had 323 kills and hit .285 in 2018.

Every 'ship is a full one. No partials allowed.
I guess I have two questions about your answer . First - Why do that have to be full scholarships. The other is if the average team size is 16 that means you have four players without any scholarship aid at all . Allowing ships to be split would seem the more equitable way to go but then this is the NCAA we’re dealing with.

Lots of programs will do partial scholarships, but per year. For example, you walk on your freshman year, and you get scholarships for the next 2 or 3 years. That's a way to stretch the scholarships beyond the 12 and spread the money around.
