Seton Hall will return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 12 when it hosts Virginia Commonwealth (VCU) at historic Walsh Gymnasium. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The contest will be carried live by the Pirate Sports Network and on the radio via 89.5 FM WSOU. It will also be available via live stats.

Seton Hall junior Desiree Elmore (Hartford, Conn.) was named BIG EAST Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.
Elmore was a force both offensively and defensively in a pair of Seton Hall routs last week to begin the 2019-20 season. The forward erupted for 20 points and matched her career-high with nine rebounds in the season-opener against Sacred Heart on Wednesday. She also had a career-high three blocks to go with three assists. On Saturday, Elmore recorded the first double-double of her career. She had game-highs of 18 points and 14 rebounds, while also dishing out three assists and recording a pair of steals. For the remarkable week, Elmore averaged 19.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game and was nearly perfect, 11-for-12, from the free-throw line.

Elmore registered game-highs of 18 points and 14 rebounds as the Seton Hall women's basketball team routed Fairfield, 74-44, in historic Walsh Gymnasium on Saturday.
Elmore notched 18 points on 7-for-9 shooting from the field and made all four of her free-throws. She also had a career-high 14 rebounds, three assists and two steals in a strong all-around effort.
In all, five Pirates scored in double-figures, Elmore, Barbara Johnson (Toronto, Ontario) (14 points), Shadeen Samuels (Ossining, N.Y.) (12 points), Alexis Lewis (Pittston, Pa.) (11 points) and Mya Jackson (Wilmington, Ohio) (10 points).

Seton Hall and VCU wrapped up a home-and-home two-year series on Dec. 28, 2000. The Hall lost a defensive affair, 59-54. The year prior, the Pirates blew out the Rams in Walsh Gym, 72-60. The teams haven't played in the 19 years since.
SCOUTING VCU
VCU is coming off a 24-10 overall record last season. They lost in the championship game of the Atlantic 10 tournament to Fordham, but earned a bid to the WNIT. The Rams defeated Charlotte in the first round of the WNIT, but fell in round two to Virginia Tech.
This year, VCU is the preseason favorite to win the Atlantic 10. They enter Tuesday's game with a 1-0 record having routed Appalachian State on Nov. 5. The Rams shot 48.2% from the floor in the win. Sophomore Madison Hattix-Covington scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Danielle Hammond had 13 points off the bench.
