I have been in contact with Flnj86 for a few years now. Bill, who lives by himself in Florida in his retirement years has had an off and on illness since he first became a member on the Trove. Unfortunately, that affliction. anxiety, has recently gotten worse as a side effect of medications he is taking
He is now under a doctor's care to try and wean off the medications, but that has brought on his anxiety issues again and he is having a very difficult time. So much so that he is trying to enter a facility to help him in his time of need. Made more difficult because of the coronavirus pandemic.
I ask for two things from our readers...
1. Please do all possible to send messages of encouragement to Bill. I don't think many of us fully understand how terrifying anxiety can be and how important it is for others to reach out to the afflicted.
2. Understand that when Bill posts there are times he is doing so while not always himself and that is why his message can be misunderstood.
Yesterday Bill's final words to me were "please pray for me." That says more than I ever can.
Get well Bill, you are a boon to this site with your basketball knowledge and experience.
