Based on this report, President Trump will work to get the necessary votes to retain Nancy Pelosi as House Majority speaker

I have always been in the camp that Pelosi needs to be replaced if Democrats are serious about trying to pursue their agenda. For a decade, Pelosi has been cast as the Democrat that is the worst nightmare for Republicans. The concept that President Trump is actively supporting Congresswoman Pelosi should be sufficient for Democratic Congressmen to withhold their vote for her Speakership.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

To be clear, Cortez is pathetic because she has zero accomplishments in her miserable life. Have heard her speak? She’s not only a socialist, but she is quite stupid.
 
She has three accomplishments. She won a congressional election. She won a primary against a well entrenched and well funded fellow Democrat in Joe Crowley. She is also the youngest woman to ever serve in Congress.

Yes. She accomplished her eventual goal of power over the naive in her budding dictatorship just like Fidel Castro accomplished free health care. Great start for the useless so-called accomplishments.

Anyone who states something controversial and illogical (ex. 'the youngest congresswomen of all time is an ignorant fool'), and then claims that statement is the unquestionable truth that everyone can see - might just be the ignorant fool they are complaining about.

I don't get it. She seems like a nice young lady. I don't think she is an ignorant fool nor do I think she is next Stalin. Can you guys narrow the range a bit?

How about you prove she is.

She will be one of 435 members of the house with very little power without the rest of the body... So that is how she is unlike anyone in that asinine post.

Listen, I am not a fan of hers. I think she is naive and does not know what the consequences of what she has proposed, although probably well intentioned. But the above-quote is outright ridiculous. Someone is comparing her to mass murderers. Wow! I don't think characterizing the above quote as hyperbole really describes how over the top fantasy exaggeration it really is.

Agree and it also embodies the extremes that seem to define our culture today. She outsmarted and out worked her opponent and found a way to win and then just made one uninformed after another and outrageous statements. Then several brain surgeons in her party annoint her as the face of the future. That triggers extreme responses like the post above. Rush to promote and rush to judgment. Meanwhile, she hasn’t even taken office yet.

She's such an effective politician she gets elected to Congress and moves right on to the senate!

I like her. Not the best politician but I think she will get there.
 
While disagree with much of what AOC is suggesting, she was elected by those in her district, who felt she was a better option. Actually like that she didn’t accept contributions. I also like that she is making Pelosi and the Dem establishment very uncomfortable (much like Trump did with Reps). I’m not a fan of shouting down those with differing opinion.

She’s the shiny new thing that is getting the attention from the MSM, because as we saw with Trump, they can’t help themselves but I Would like to see the next generation of leaders emerge and prove themselves.

If you think that the democratic establishment is going to waste money to primary her in a district where she is admired in a time where she is more widely known than almost all of the candidates running for president? That is not happening.

No argument. I still think she's an idiot -- and that her notoriety is more because of her gaffes and silliness more than anything. Being admired in her district really isn't impressive, considering that she is Latina and local ("Alex from the Bronx" but schooled in Westchester), given the demographics of that district.

Stevie is having a special on false equivalences today, so he'll be happy to know that I'm not a fan of Trump, either.
