The national nightmare is over. Everyone's favorite group of posts is BACK!!!!
1. Myles Powell - I think having a proven vocal leader is going to be huge. We have a player that busted his ass to get to this spot and now has national shine on him. When he speaks the players will listen and follow because he has earned the respect. Previously we had Angel who got nation recognition, but he was not as vocal as Myles is.
2. Ming and Long - Solid recruits, but not players that will raise our national recruiting image and that is important in the social media age.
3. We need a stud recruit. Timberlake is the guy, we need to do everything we can to close him out. SHU turned when they got Whitehead, it was a program changing moment. We need that again, the 100-200 ranked recruits are great, but in order to take the next step we need bluechip prospects.
4. Player Development - In my mind the most important player this season outside of Powell is Rhoden. Last year he showed that he is the role player every team needs. If he can become a consistent scoring threat and keep that same intensity he showed last year we will not be able to keep him off the court
5. Skinn was an absolutely fantastic hire (credit to KW on this one). The work he has done to get us in with top players from different areas is amazing. Outside of having to pony up to keep KW, I hope we are prepared to do whatever it takes to keep Skinn when the other schools come calling.
