This is why such a challenging schedule is so dangerous.

First Michigan State lost top ranking and now no Myles it appears. Will be there rooting hard for team but game lost quite a bit of appeal in the past week. Unfortunate. Hope Powell gets healthy soon.
Well, they are also missing a star player. I would hold Powell out until 12/15.
This could be Willard being overly cautious. Don’t completely rule Miles out Thursday just yet.

The limited news during the game was Powell was walking okay and wanted back in...then Willard drops the bomb. Interested to see what the news is the next two days
I hope the x rays will reveal that it isnt bad. Initial prognosis may be based on how bad it's swollen.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Willard is trying to throw off the Spartans. Teams work on defending Powell for days and if they are ill prepared and Powell triumphantly returns on Thursday watch out!!
Obviously a major decision will be based on the xray and how severe it is. If there is a chance, by playing, he can make it much worse..than he sits.

If Powell was walking on it, then the xrays won’t show any fracture or dislocation. How much inflammation occurs in the next 48 hours will determine how long it will take to heal.
This college basketball, any team can win on a given night and we have seen it time and time again. The team can't be afraid to give it their all against the Spartans and we can't abandon them just because Powell may be out. They still need our support. Powell may be the motor but he didn't win those big games alone. It was Cale who had big games against Maryland, Villanova game winner against Kentucky. Gill was the difference maker against Maryland, Rutgers, Xavier and made the game winning block against Providence. Rhoden gave us a lift against Miami and had the game of his life against Villanova. Nelson stepped up in the Big East final and against Wofford. Shavar got us past St John's. Sandro had to bang with the toughest bigs the Big East has to offer and guided us to victory today. These young men have what it takes and they have a 10 year elder statesmen of the Big East to lead this way. Have faith!!!
The season is about March. I know any competitor wants to go against the best but if he’s 80% I don’t see it as being worth the risk.

Not sure that the comparison between Powell and Langford is fair, but, totally agree with your mindset - bring it on!!! We looked lost for 29 minutes after losing Powell and finished with 30 points in the final 12 minutes. We have 5 days prep for MSU, Willard has a way of figuring things out. The crowd will be pumped with or without Powell on Thursday and I believe we can rise to the occasion. GO PIRATES!!!

This.... if he was seen walking on it they wouldn’t let him do that if they thought it was something serious... see how the next 24 hours go with swelling...
Hopefully he heals up quickly for himself and the team, but regardless you roll the ball out and play, and anything can happen. Let's go Boys! Time to come together!
As with most sprains, too early to tell. Next 24 hrs. will determine how long he's out
