If you have the time watch this video of Myles throughout the season.....you can see exactly when the double team starts (Creighton/Xavier) game. He was lighting it up until that moment and they had no choice.....They said he will beat us 5 on 5 so lets see if the other guys can beat us 4 vs 3.
Myles/Willard did an amazing job adjusting to this but it took them 2-3 games (1-2 games too long). In addition, they made a mistake and stayed with the 20+ shots a game instead of easily trying to get 10+ Assists a game,
He was by far the best player in the country until the double team starts and the double team confirmed he was the best player. The issue is that it took 2-3 games to make the change and they did not make the full change. They needed to drop the shots to 10-15 mostly in transition and let him go 15points - 7rebounds - 9 assists. The Pro Scouts would have understood. Who knows what would have happened in March. You could see the transformation to the double team was happening.
