for a couple CRITICAL buckets late in the second half to help fend off the collapse after being benched to start the second half. Particularly since Sha is typically very ride or die with his starters. Would have been easy to sulk and pack it in. I'm sure his stat line for the game isn't great but this one may have slipped away without his contributions late.

Sha said in the postgame that he thought Davis was a bit out of it in terms of what he wanted and that he went to Tubek to start the 2nd half because of it. A credit to both coach and player.

Thank God his runner went in at about 9 seconds, LOL. We went from insane dunking vibes to a total meltdown.

He’s the worst ball handler in open court / passer I’ve seen in a long time as a star starter. He shouldnt be anywjhere near the ball in open court of passing more than 5-7 feet. Boxscore says he had 3 turnovers, thats a joke, had at least 5-6

With 22 turnovers it was a team effort, and he has been our most consistent kid all season. Regardless, biggest bucket of the game that stopped the Marquette run.( And we won, so not sure your criticism belongs here today. )

And for the record, he averages the 2nd fewest turnovers among the starters at 1.4 per game, with only Bediako fewer at 1.0

DD won the game but his energy level seemed a bit down versus his normal high.At the energy level he plays at 30 mpg would be ideal for him.

Dre forces his shot a lot, like on the one fast break today where there was no reason not just pull it out. But he does so much more, especially down low where he always seems to be able to contort his body to get a layup or hitting a clutch 3/jump shot. And that one 2 on 1 fast break where passed to Dawes was great.

And the fact he didn't mope about being benched to start the 2nd half and came out strong was awesome too.

A little harsh but not completely off base.

pretty sure bediako is much worse. considering dre davis is the next forward after him makes sense hes not the best ball handler in the open court. but he can play multiple positions on offense and defense and hit a shot. he doesnt play too fast.

Dre's been huge for us this year but besides Kadary, he's the one I fear with burnout. He plays so physical, battled injuries last year and this has been a big jump in minutes.

It did seem he didn't have his usual energy in the 1st half and had his hands full with the bigger/longer Joplin. Credit to Tubek for playing solid minutes without touching the ball much and Dre played better in the 2nd half. He did a great job exploiting the mismatch on Kolek at the end. Igodaro stepped up to double but Dre made a sweet reverse to his left and easily got the shot off over Kolek.

Agree…tough matchup against Joplin. Davis brings it every game. Give Sha credit for trying Tubek, right?
