PC did not sign him but did get a verbal from him and a lot can happen between now and the spring signing period .

Thompson truly is a difference maker for next year's team. I would say that this is the first time Willard has gone after a recruit that he badly needs from a position of strength (assuming IW comes back). Interesting to see how he reacts to the situation, and whether he can get him to come aboard. I seem to recall in PJ's hey-day, he always got these types of guys to round out the squad and reload his front lines.

You've captured the issue correctly and I would just add that if we don't get TT there's doesn't appear to be any other option that gives us what he does .
