Providence

Loses again at home. Now four losses in a row.

Losing Hopkins for the season has really hurt them. Another important home game in a couple of weeks.
Important? They went from being an impressive, resume building road win to now what would’ve been a bad loss.

They’re primed to free fall. They weren’t as good as it seemed to begin with. Now, forget it.

I still think Friars are good --just not easy losing their Star ( great Kid and Player) . Much like Hall without KR. Going to take time to adjust.

Because you don’t want to give away a home game that you will be favored to win. Team needs to protect the home court with two away wins in the can. Providence is still a good team…just adjusting right now.

The loss of Hopkins was devastating. Currently they are not good.
They lost to sju partly cause of a missed xall on a ft rebound which would put them on the line down 1. Losing hopkins was brutal. I thought he was a little overrated but still a huge loss.

Have to say, I kind of like seeing Devin Carter lose. Very unlikable player, so full of himself.

They look like we did without Richmond last year. We ended up going like 1-6 or something.

Overrated? Wouldnt we love to have a big, whos only listed at 6'7 to avg 16 and 8 since he was a sophomore? Never played at kentucky so really his 1st year getting major minutes as a sophomore. Id take him in a sec. Whens the last time we had a big as a sophomore avg 16 and 8?

What antics? The guy plays his ass off.
If he played for SHU, he’d be a cult hero on this board.

Ever seen some of the selfish, ridiculous shots he takes down the stretch of games (at Creighton and at St. John's come to mind recently)? He thinks he's all that. Good player, but Ray Allen or Allen Iverson he is not. He also held Kim English essentially hostage this offseason in order to stay in Providence after already transferring once before.

They need him to take those shots.… they want him to take those shots. He’s the man now for that team.

He leads the Big East in’s scoring over 21 per game and is 3rd in rebounding at 9.5 per game in conference games. Those are outstanding, especially the rebounds.
