He's a kid we really wanted and noticed he is playing garbage time minutes at Cinncy in his second year. Dan any idea what's up and if there's any interest.

To me he never fit into the Cincy style/approach. Their best years they have always been solidified with very physical bigs and he was a big who liked to float on the perimeter. I consider us lucky in some ways we did not get him but wish him the best.

Completely agree. Frankly with the emergence of Ish and Nzei, I don't see any need for a 4 right now. We also have Carter, and I want to see if he can emerge as a 4 in their wake. What we need is a back to the basket Center with good hands. Delgado is our answer right now, but we need this type of recruit to take Delgado's place when he leaves. Anthony is doing his best, but you need to have strong frontcourt options to compete in the tournament.

Govan would have been yuuuuuge. I hope the staff is looking into this and making things happen behind the scenes. I don't see any Centers on our radar from Sports247 or Verbal Commits. If Delgado leaves next season and we haven't locked in a solid replacement it'll be a recruiting letdown.

Think of some of the other guys that Seton Hall really wanted and didn't get... Like Blaise M at BU and the big Euro kid at BC.... I'd put Moore in the same class. He wouldn't fit in at all with this SHU group.

I am sorry, but after seeing Ish and Nzei this year, I have no interest in the stretch 4. I like my lunch box guys who get rebounds and put backs. I simply don't like seeing guys that should be in to rebound, shooting 3s. Was I impressed with Govan....absolutely. Nonetheless, I just don't like my big guys shooting 3s.

Pls ask me on the Trove.

There were 4 finalists in cuse as leader, prov, gtown and us. But kansas just offered today... Don't know if his final list will change after the new offer

Wasn't Thompson's list Cuse, Prov and us about a month ago? Now GTown added? And maybe Kansas? Okay.

It's always great to have quality big men (which we have in my opinion), but I'm beginning to think it's more important to lock up a true point guard for life after Isaiah.

I'm happy with Delgado, Nzei, and Ish and Desi holding down the front court for the next couple years. My question is who will play the point if/when IW goes to the league?

I think it hinges on Thomas. If he's around, he's our PG for the next 2. If the team stays in tact, for next year I would like another wide body so that we can much up better with front lines.

And they turned out to be busts are their respective schools. Sometimes losing in the recruiting wars is a good thing.

But losing kids who never contribute is a double loss imo. We didn't recruit well enough and we picked targets badly. I will say I wanted Moore when we recruited him. The other two I didn't want.

The college basketball landscape is rapidly changing, and transferring is more common than ever, but I have to ask the question if Taurean Thompson is a power forward where are his minutes going to come from? Delgado's and I would assume Ish's starting spots are locked up for the next two years, and we have a strong 6th man in Nzei.

Some players are willing to "wait their turn" at historic programs but would Taurean be willing to wait until his Jr year for a starting slot to open?

This is from this morning.

Wolfeboro, N.H. — Taurean Thompson has made a decision. He just hasn't made THE decision.

Thompson, a 6-foot-10 senior at Brewster Academy, has cut his list of prospective colleges down to four and he doesn't plan on adding any others.

"I'm going with the schools I have now,'' Thompson said in an interview earlier this week. Thompson said the four remaining schools are Syracuse, Georgetown, Providence and Seton Hall.

Thompson, a Top 100 recruit in the Class of 2016, said he would not make a decision until after the season. "I'll know by March or April,'' he said.

Yes Georgetown is in recently......They are definitely looking for some frontcourt players. Hope we can beat Providence and show him he will have a huge impact here and dancing next year. Not guaranteed that at Providence or Georgetown next year. Syracuse is an odd team as Boeheim is retiring and I believe are under the NCAA microscope. They do lead but we can move higher if we continue to win.

Problem is Delgado is our only Center that can compete in the Big East. Centers take time to develop. You need to bring in a good recruit behind him and then hope that either that player or Anthony develop enough by the time Delgado leaves. Waiting another year just sets us up for another "Willard doesn't have the horses season" when Delgado leaves. This is a recruiting issue.

It also doesn't look like we are getting Taurean. We've never been able to win the big battles like this, and I smell that changing this season. If we go deep we may have better chances next year, but that is cutting it close for future seasons.

QM is a big 4 who is soft and thinks he's a 3. SH doesn't need that type of player. If you're a big 4 you better be tough and not aspire to be something you're not unless you want to play in garbage time.

The gu commit - a guard - from st Anthony recently said he was great friends with tt and would try to sway him to gu.

If SH wants to be a legitimate tourney contender on a consistent basis it must add BE quality players each recruiting cycle and TT is that kind of player plus he does fill a need. If our 2016 class is Powell and TT I think most would say it's a very good class especially since it addresses a need at two positions.

Georgetown going no where unless they remove jt3. Time for a change. There is a lot of HS talent on Georgetown that doesn't fit style of
play.

You realize, that over the last 70 years, the only two coaches that have had any success at Georgetown are named Thompson.
