Question about NJ casinos in AC

I have now had two instances when I have won a substantial amount at table games compared to what I bought in for, last time they just took down my name via driver's license, this time they asked for my social security number, I presume the casino will send me an income tax doc based on winning in a legal gambling outfit

If you go to the race track and win over a certain amount they have to take info down for the IRS. I assume that the casino's are the same.

yes that's exactly what it is. was with a profesional card-counter (he plays with a team...had some amazing stories) over the summer and grilled him about how they track/tax sizeable winnings.
