Ranking the 20 greatest Jersey Shore high school basketball teams ever

The Long Branch team with Alex Bradley or the Lakewood team that beat East Orange were not too shabby

I'm guessing CBA teams.

The 1973 CBA team with Bob Roma and Joe Paterno was #1 in the state, finished 28-0, then you had the John Crotty teams in the 80s, along with Geoff Billett and Brian Lynch in '95 who lost in the TOC to a St Anthony's team they beat earlier that season. One or all of those should be on that list.

Yes it's a bit of my homer-ism talking, but I still say that the 1999-2000 team which lost to SHP (with an injured MTE) in the Parochial A State Championship was one of the best high school teams in NJ history which didn't win a state championship. Both teams were nationally ranked in the USA Today Top 10 going into that game, and it took a miracle shot from SHP at the buzzer to win it. That's still to this day one of the crazier finishes to a game I've seen on any level, in a rare game that actually lived up to the hype. There was something like 10-12 future D-1 players on the rosters of both those teams.
