1. Cooley 13-3 5-0
Not worth debating

2. Miller 12-3 4-0
Three high quality losses only defeats

3. Smart 12-4 4-1
Could even be second on this list

4. Hurley 14-2 3-2
Trending in the wrong direction

5. McDermott 9-6 3-1
Starting to match the hype

6. Neptune 8-7 2-2
It's a mess from here on out

7. Matta 10-6 2-3
Could be one spot higher

8. Holloway 8-8 1-4
Somebody has to be #8

9. Anderson 11-5 1-4
Soft OOC schedule catching up to him

10. Stubblefield 7-9 1-4
Only here because #11 is reserved

11. Ewing 5-11 0-5
Every team they play must have a Michael Jordan on the roster

Very competitive at the top. Could give it to any of the top four at this point. Nobody really worth considering after #4. Really more like 1A, 1B, 1C and 1D.

3. Miller
4. Hurley

No doubt right now it's a 4 horse race. But I wouldn't count out McDermott. His team could go on a massive run and in February propel him in the race for best coach in the conference.

Agree, which is why I noted at this point. I believe Creighton will continue to rise.

I have Smart over Cooley at this juncture as Cooley does not have a good road win yet and needed double OT at home against Smart.

Providence lost Nate Watson, Noah Horchler, Al Durham, AJ Reeves, & Justin Minaya from last year. It may be a 4 person race, but Cooley has a decent lead RIGHT NOW. Things could change, but to date it’s Cooley.

Duly noted but Marquette lost Justin Lewis, Darryl Morsell, and Greg Elliott.

Marquette currently has a NET of 23 and an RPI of 33.

So Providence lost more players, beat them, & have a better record. I’m confused LOL
Beat them in double overtime on their homecourt, you forgot that part in your state of confusion.

Plus it's total body of work.

I’ll never understand that argument. They only won by a few points or they won in overtime. Does that matter? THEY WON THE GAME!

Again, I’m not arguing that Shaka hasn’t done a great job or that Marquette won’t end up with a better record, but to date it shouldn’t be a question.
