Preseason #9, might be the national COY

2. Miller 23-8 15-5
Without Freemantle, kudos

3. Hurley 24-7 13-7
Strong ending to the season

4. Cooley 21-10 13-7
Cool(ey) off at season's end

5. McDermott 20-11 14-6
Was preseason cream of the Big East crop

6. Holloway 17-14 10-10
If only healthy

7. Anderson 17-14 7-13
Not good, but best of the rest

8. Neptune 16-15 10-10
Not the Wright stuff this year

9. Matta 14-17 6-14
Not much positive to say

10. Stubblefield 9-22 3-17
Right now might be the worst team in the league

11. Ewing 7-24 2-18

1. Smart - might be the easiest call for COY in Big East history
2. Miller - would be an easy call if it weren't for Shaka Smart. Fantastic job with largely Steele's roster
3. Hurley - oddly didn't exceed the preseason poll but I think most would say UConn is better than they thought. Might have an E8/F4 contender
4. Cooley - did a nice job blending holdovers with the transfers
5. McDermott - solid year, but they're probably a bit disappointed. Held them together through some tough times
6. Holloway - average job, up and down season. Held it together enough to be better than those below
7. Neptune - too much talent on the roster to be 16-15, but signs of life late in the year
8. Matta - somewhat competitive at times with an awful roster, but largely a poor year
9. Anderson - on his way out, you would think. No passion, poor leadership
10. Stubblefield - lots of energy on the sidelines but results severely lacking. Would be last if not for....
11. Ewing - I really wanted this to work, but he's one of the worst coaches in Big East history. So long, Patrick
