A great group of players but

Time to re assess some things

1. This is not a NCAA tournament team
2. We have no go to scorer and no offensive sets
3. The Halloway impact is not there yet
4. Coach impact on recruiting is not there due to NIL issue
5. School done a bad job on NIL
6. Practice facility remains in limbo
7 Time to look at another sponsor vs AU.

Please, NIL or not, that’s a MAAC team that just beat our MAAC team.

Totally agree with this statement. Seton Hall shouldn't lose to anyone in the MAAC. Such a sad state this program is in right now. Unfortunately this will impact the fair weather fans we have gained the last few years and the attendance at the Rock will be lower this year.

Looks like it will be a battle with Georgetown, DePaul and maybe Butler for the bottom of the barrel award.
Maybe the coaches were being kind to Sha when they picked The Hall to finish 7th.

Don't forget Villanova. They lost to an Oregon team with 6 available scholarship players and a walk-on starter today. We're in it with them too.

I don't think anyone is forgetting Nova. They are getting benefit of doubt because of who is still on that team, what is supposedly coming with the injury-situation, and what that program has done recently for a long time.

I mean forgetting them being so bad. I've watched most of their games this year and, like us, they are totally discombobulated this year. The injuries are a red herring; they are much worse than last year. But will probably improve into Big East play.

I can tell you've watched them because you've posted about it plenty here. So you've definitely watched much more Nova than I have. From what I see, I agree the lack of guard play has been an absolute nightmare for them. Which leads to looking discombobulated (good word).

I don't think the injuries are a red herring. Moore is probably the best guard in the league. Whitmore is supposed to be the best NBA talent, projected in the lottery for next year. You give me a starting 5 of Moore, Daniels, Slater, Whitmore and Dixon, I'll gladly sign-up for that. I don't know Moore's health status and how he'll be when he returns, and I have no idea if Whit is as good as everyone says. But if you think Moore comes back as somewhat himself and that every single evaluator simply isn't wrong about Whitmore, you can see why things may change dramatically for Nova.

If we had players of Moore's and Whitmore's ability out with injuries, I guarantee many here would be using that a reason for optimism. Right?

The reason why I say, it’s a little bit of a red herring is that if you take those two out of the game by foul trouble or if they stay injured, then the rest of the team is nowhere near good enough to win games against quality opponents. All these talking heads keep saying well it’s the injuries and once they’re back, they are going to be hard to beat basically. But if those two are out of the game for whatever reason, the rest of this team has not shown it has what it takes to win. It’s about having a deep bench (or even good enough starters outside of the two out) and right now they are not showing that they do. I would say they are in a better place than we are though because at least they have those two coming back who going to be very good. Meanwhile, what do we have?

He took that program and turned it around real quick. I cant imagine what Sanogo is going to do to us. I am thinking 30 and 15. We give other teams whatever points in the paint they want. Usually our defense gives opponents best players career nights so...
