The Marquette game was big not just on the court, but in the stands as SHU hosted a number of major recruiting targets. Here is a quick update

Zion Harmon
  • Harmon was with his family on the OV
  • Early report I heard was that the family was impressed with how SHU was more than just Myles Powell. They were also impressed with the atmosphere at the game, and particularly Anthony Nelson on the court
  • Willard and staff sold the talent on the roster, the emphasis on player development, and Willard's history with guards, dating back to Theodore. Also sold the fact that next year's roster is not devoid of talent and there are minutes available if they are earned
  • Right now, it is hard to say where SHU stands, but I think they made a good case and pitch during the OV. I will try and get more intel this week but I think this is one where SHU has a fighters chance and there won't be many leaks
Jakai Robinson
  • Major 2021 talent. Elite and gifted 3 level scorer
  • 6'5 wing/2G
  • Another Tony Skinn recruit
  • This is the 2nd game this season he has been to (Michigan State)
  • Close w/ Dimingus Stevens
  • Florida and Oklahoma State are the major players right now w/ SHU
  • Too early to make a prediction, but SHU will have a strong chance
  • I am told that his Uncle is a strong influence on his recruitment. He has been to both of the games with Jakai this year
Rashool Diggins
  • Fast rising 2021 point guard
  • Originally from Wayne, New Jersey
  • Duane Woodward recruit
  • Athletic guard who plays downhill. Good defender and size for a kid his age
  • True point guard but can score the ball
  • Virginia Tech is in a good spot early but I suspect if SHU prioritizes him they will have a very strong chance
Jordan Riley
  • SHU and Rutgers have offered
  • NYC 2021 2G
  • 6'3. Gritty defender and rapidly improving offensive game
  • Duane Woodward recruit
  • Hearing SHU loves his game but again, will depend if they pursue him aggressively
  • They have to wait and see how 2020 shakes out before deciding who to really pressure and pursue for 2021
Jaquan Harris
  • 2022 NJ point guard
  • Going to be a MAJOR recruit
  • Already 6'4 and still growing
  • Great length/athlete and court vision
  • Good scorer for his age
  • Projects as a good defender but hasn't quite shown it yet
