Over the next couple of days I am going to discuss recruiting on this thread.
I'll create individual posts for each player. But before I do that I want add add a few things.
The unknown status of both Whitehead and Thomas moving forward has greatly effected recruiting.
Whitehead has made no secret of the fact that he will leave if he has indications he'll be a first round draft choice. That might seem far fetched to some at this point but those close to him have gotten feelers from the NBA about that very possibility.
How he plays the rest of the season and how he performs at the NBA camp after his sophomore year will dictate his choice.
As for Thomas, there's little doubt in my mind a suspension is forthcoming with only the length in question.
Thomas was playing great in practice and if Whitehead left the feeling was he would be a very adequate replacement. Now that has changed as it's possible that we could have no PGs next season unless of course we recruit one or 2 this off season.
Because of that the Hall is looking hard at the juco ranks to bring in 1 or possibly 2 new players. If Whitehead leaves he will have to be replaced. And pending the outcome with Thomas, a worse case scenario would mean he too would have to be replaced.
The shame of it was that Bryce Aiken really wanted to come here even against his mom's wishes. But Aiken wants to play immediately and he saw both Whitehead and Thomas in his path and chose Harvard.
