What I have never understood is while I realize that recruiting is not a science. We have specific needs and their are players who fit those needs every year who it just doesn't seem that we are ever on their lists. I know we are not always put in with the "Big Boys", but when you see Gibbs light it up, when he did nothing at Texas, When you hear IW not only talk about "loving" the staff, but his playing with a number of the major targets nationally and has relationships with them, you wonder how some of the talent who is truly a need is just not even in the consideration set. Theirs with us, but sometimes it seems us with them? This years recruiting class was masterful, but we need ONE specific guy. A Big, PF / C who can clog the middle. 1 guy. Angel is great, but one more guy! Of course we need other talent as well, but that one guy is the difference between perennial NCAA's over then next few years and rankings that should help with self sustaining the recruiting for the future. Particularly if this freshman class stays for a few years at least. I just don't understand. I see a lot of mid majors playing with the 'Guy" and I don't know if we ever spoke to him. Is it just a random situation that he blew up, is playing for a sucky team but has the talent to be "the guy"?
