The last really gets me every time being a financial advisor. You’re supposedly a responsible person bringing a half dozen plus children into this world, yet you don’t buy life insurance to protect your loved ones when your stupid ass dies.

Life lesson. Don’t send your loved ones into (or deeper into) poverty because your selfish irresponsible ass doesn’t buy inexpensive term life insurance. Rant over.

I just got served in a lawsuit because my cousin died 10 years ago intestate. His home is $800,000 underwater and according to New York law I and eight of my relatives are heirs.

A simple one-page Will would have eliminated the crap we now have to deal with.

Buying insurance on a limited budget is not on the top of the list when trying to keep a roof over your kids head and food in their belly’s. Sounds like some are completely divorced from reality.

The insurance is bleeding her to death. $5000 to most on this board is a drop in the bucket to her it’s a noose around her neck. I personally do not know how folks can survive on $15 to $20 per hour with rising rent, gas, fixing used cars, basic mandated insurance, rising food and basic needs and then getting money taken out for high deductibles. Now we are looking at another 3.5 trillion on the backs of the poor. Inflation sky rockets and the rich pay? Hell no the middle class and the poor.

If she was making that much, the policy would be free for her. So your objection is that she has to pay for the service for whatever procedure it was?
i get that insurance is expensive, it is... but her option wasn’t having better insurance which would have cost her more, it was having basic coverage or having no insurance.

If you can afford to pump out 6-8 kids, you can afford term life insurance. You are divorced from reality.

Ran $100,000 term insurance for a 30 year old female, preferred rating (maybe she's standard, maybe she's preferred select...). 10 year is $87 per year. Not month, year. 20 year is $103. I can find cheaper, just ran it through our insurer and not brokerage.

If you can afford to procreate, you can afford to protect your family.

If you can't afford $8/month for $100k of life insurance, I'm willing to guess she's foregoing starbucks, smart phone, any other things that are much more expensive and much less important than $8/month for family protection.

All depends how you structure it dependent on age. Term insurance can be very inexpensive.

And if anyone knows someone in that situation, I’ll have someone get it done. I’ll generally only write a case like that for a friend/relative, but I have advisors in the office who could use the case count and would be under my supervision.

Wrong.I watch a little bit of all these news channels including news max , one america news, fox , cnn ,PBS etc. The problem is one trump keeps himself in the news with his BS rallies and most of these channels are either far right or far left just looking for their ratings. They give their opinions rather then just the news. If your a republican and says one thing against trump your a RINO if you are a Democrat your a socialist . If you are a moderate and try to go issue by issue you are a political dinosaur. SAD .
