I'm torn. I would love to see Nova get the #1 overall seed, but I would also like to see 2 BE teams get a 1 seed.
I'm just hoping for a good game.
Guys, the question is what's best for the Hall not what's best for the league or rooting interests.I'm torn. I would love to see Nova get the #1 overall seed, but I would also like to see 2 BE teams get a 1 seed.

I argue what's best for the BE is best for the Hall. I don't believe that tonight's result has any impact on the game this weekend.Guys, the question is what's best for the Hall not what's best for the league or rooting interests.
I think the tie-breaker would go to Xavier based on better over-all record. But I don't know what the tie-breaker criteria is in the Big East these days. Perhaps it is on the Big East web site.If we win out (dare to dream) and Xavier loses to us and Nova, who is the BET 2-seed?

Whatever is good for the league is good for the hall.Guys, the question is what's best for the Hall not what's best for the league or rooting interests.
After we got dominated in the first game, you think we have any shot at X if they prove they are good enough to beat the #1 team in the nation? I dont. But i really dont think we have a shot either way.A Xavier win. Beating a Xavier team that just beat the #1 team in the country would benefit Seton Hall more. In my opinion seeding in the NCAA Tournament is more important than seeding in the BET.

We didn't get dominated. That was an intensely contested game until the final 7 minutes or so, if I remember correctly. We trailed Xavier for most, if not all of the game, but it was still a game until the latter part of the game when the stuffing came out of the pillow. After we got dominated in the first game, you think we have any shot at X if they prove they are good enough to beat the #1 team in the nation? I don't think it matters. Is it better for Xavier to beat Nova or lose to them tonight?
I agree Violet. I was only thinking in terms of our chances to beat XU. But if they beat Nova and then we beat them, that would be excellent for us, better than if we beat them after Nova beat them.A Xavier win. If you are correct, then X is not as good a team as many think. Good teams rebound quickly from a defeat and want to prove they're better than their last loss. You never want to face a good team after a loss, close or otherwise, unless its a horseshoe competition where close matters. Better hope X wins vs The Nova.I might disagree.
I think that Xavier losing a real heartbreaker at the buzzer or in the end game would make it very difficult for them to get up for a Sunday noon game on the road.
With a close loss to Nova that virtually guarantees Xavier the 2 seed in the Big East and probably a 2-3 seed in the Dance pending the tournament at MSG.
That might take some wind out of their sails vs SHU.
Conversely a win will keep them on track for a 1 seed in the Dance giving them more incentive against the Hall this weekend.
Not always. And certainly not if it has a possible effect on the outcome of our game Sunday.Whatever is good for the league is good for the hall.

3OT beat down with Nova by 1 in the end. Farr goes down for 1 game and they can barely breath when they get to the Rock!
