went to the nova game last night. The school took very god care of us with facilitating premo seats. While happy to see a decent amount of fans traveled to watch our team battle in a tough place and represented the fan base very well, there were 1 or 2 fans, not so much. Who needs to spend the balance of a game yelling and screaming obscenities at the refs all game long to the point where it's an embarrassment ? It's not fun for the fans , the players, the coaching staff or the refs. It may actually hurt us with some calls. Nothing wrong with passionate cheering for the team but we need to be respectful. At home and on the road. We are seton hall.

I was there dealing with two idiot Nova fans sitting in front of me and my buddy who made a comment that SHU only graduates 50% and I told him I graduated and his response, I was one of the lucky ones! These clowns on the main line and the surrounding area of Media, Pa where I live thinks Nova is the Stanford of the East Coast. Clowns who need to wake up!
Hey, I wasn't there, but in a stadium with 98% Nova fans I figure our 2% have some work to do. If the objectionable fans truly "screamed at the refs all game long" (I smell hyperbole here), then yes, it was likely inappropriate, and if obscenities were screamed, it was clearly inappropriate. Yes, we do represent the school. But to be honest there were a number of times last night where I was screaming at the refs on TV (like that will accomplish anything, but go ahead and throw rocks at my glass house), so I find it hard to fault people in the audience for doing some of the same. It is true you can get refs against you by screaming at them, but you can also remind them they are being held accountable on both sides, which really matters on the road. Again, I wasn't there but without any more information from SHUmash90 I find it kind of hard to support her (his?) position.
