With all due respect to the disgrace that was and is human trafficking and slavery, I'm going to come down on the side of "no" on this one. The city of SF wants to give $5M per person to those whose ancestors were the victims of slavery. I expect that from those nut jobs, but I thought NJ was better than that. Since my family didn't come here until well after abolition, and never owned slaves, I don't feel compelled to have to pay into any kind of reparation fund. If this somehow comes to fruition, I may be the first arrested for deducting and withholding that portion of my taxes.
