It was kind of shocking to me to see Rider announce they're cutting so many majors. They include art, art history, advertising, web design and piano.
Interestingly, SHU just relaunched an emphasis in these study areas with the new College of Communication and the Arts.
While I am always sad to see these types of cuts, perhaps their loss will be SHU's gain. There will be less competition for students. Every little bit helps.
