RIP Dianne Feinstein

Sorry, but another gun control Feinstein quip;
She’d have reviled the Rutgers basketball schedule introduction using Soprano’s theme.
Many, and especially Italian American Essex, Passaic, and Union county folks were entertained by the series while retaining our feelings of disgrace and disgust for the actions of Mafiosi.
How is Middlesex County remotely relevant, and how disgraceful relating boy-men athletes to the gun culture and allure of “got yourself a gun” mentality when we know what guns in the hands of reckless people can do including a gun trade-off and murder at the hands of an Alabama star basketball player just last year.
Way to go, State U.

When respected and or famous people pass away I note it here. This has nothing to do with any political view, it's all about honoring the passing of the person.

I do that for athletes, actors, political figures and the like. Feinstein's career was special regardless of her political views. Thus I honor her and hope she RIP.

If any other poster posted this, this would have been posted on LOTS right away. Again, I thought this board was for seton hall mens basketball.

And if any other poster posted this I would not take offense because it's just an opinion. But when a troll who has little good to say about anything SHU related comments I take it from the source as useless and expected criticism!

It's sad that death has become to only way to replace career politicians. Term limits are necessary.
This. It’s getting nuts. Between this and all the money swirling it’s out of control and not what was intended. There are a number of them at an age they can’t perform the job.

Guys, please keep this on target honoring Feinstein. Otherwise I will have to transfer this to LOTS.

How can we honor one who was on the wrong side of the biggest human rights issue of our times: the right to life of unborn human persons? Feinstein was a villain. Hall of shame for her.

Because she isn't wrong. It's a tough issue, but forced birth isn't right. Your religion's rules can stop you from doing this, but it shouldn't stop anyone else.

Time to move the thread. That's all from me on this.

Thank you, Dan, for bringing civility and class to the board. You are an excellent moderator.

I think it's sad that a thread set up to pay respects to a distinguished stateswoman had to turn into an airing of grievances regarding said person. Predictable, but sad. There is a time and place for everything and I don't believe this is either.

It seems as if some of us have forgotten the grace that our faith is supposed to instill in us and our Seton Hall education was supposed to reinforce.

Sen. Feinstein certainly isn't immune to criticism and I'm sure there will still be plenty of opportunity to do so even after her passing.

May she rest in peace.

Not a religious issue per se. It's a human rights issue. Every human has a right to life. Once a pre-born infant is in the womb, no matter how he or she got there, and no matter how inconvenient, that human person must not be murdered for any reason whatsoever. Murder of innocent human life is wrong at all ages.

This is a basketball board but I must respond. Pro abortion advocates believe that if a woman wants a baby then it is a baby, if not it is a clump of cells. The obvious illogical and amoral reasoning is breathtaking and yet that is precisely their position. I recommend this gets moved to another board.
