Looks to be a 7 man rotation going into Big East Play....

G: Isaiah, Carrington, Gordon
F/C: Delgado, Nezi, Ish, Desi.

I could see maybe a few minutes here and there for Singh and Andersen but nothing makes me think they are more than 5-7 minutes max players now (barring big time foul trouble). Suprised that Singh has had such a rough start since I thought he was going to be a contributor with his outside shooting.

The question is can we win consistently in the league with just a 7 man rotation. I think we need someone else to give us some quality minutes (10+ in league play) but just not sure who that is right now.

I think Anderson and Singh will combine to give us enough off the bench as needed.

The bigger concern for me is the guards. We only have 3. Soffer is like that old Colin Falls of ND type; purely a stationary shooter.

Injuries are bound to happen, so Anderson, Singh & Anthony at the very least need to get better asap.

I hope Carter doesn't transfer b/c of lack of playing time. I think he could be a contributor next year.

Agree with you about Carter and think he needed to see some more time in these non conference games. But I think there is more behind the scenes on why he hasn't been given much PT.

He does seem like an intriguing prospect. I like his energy and defensive ability.

Clearly needs court time and experience. Two things he'll most probably only get in practice.

He's young as is Veer, both Fred Hill recruits. Could both be players down the road.

.....unless there's an injury, which there will be. And don't forget about foul trouble. And then someone in the frontcourt other than Angel, Ish, Nzei & Andersen will be getting minutes. Anthony should be able to contribute more as the season progresses. There were small flashes last season.

Anthony gets no discussion from you Dan. Is he transferring? I feel like someone will be transferring once the semester ends.

It's not unprecedented. Providence played 7 guys (with 5 guys playing 30+ minutes) the year Cotton was a senior. I feel like we are heading in that direction unless one of the deeper bench guys really shows something in the next few games.

I don't know what to say about him in a positive way.

Don't want to kill him on the board because as Willard has often told the media he's an incredibly hard working player loved by all his teammates. Just not sure of his ability at this level.

Remember, coming out of HS he was a 2 star recruit. So what we have seen to date backs that rating.

I see a 9 man rotation. The two players up for discussion are Singh and Anderson. I think Anderson gets his minutes because Delgado needs his rest. He is a big body that can rebound and that is all we want from him at this point. He will see his 8-10 minutes per game.

So people have been crushing Singh. He has not played as well as I thought he would. However, I thought he played ok against St Peters. He was aggressive and perhaps a little too much and that resulted in him fouling. But I did not see him get beat except for one time. Desi will be playing 30 - 32 minutes a game in the Big East rotation. So someone needs to play 8-10 minutes. That person has to be Singh. I see him getting more comfortable playing defense each game. He is rushing his shot right now and not setting his feet because he is too anxious due to the fact they rarely give him the ball in a decent situation to shoot.

I think he would be more effective if IW or Carrington dribble penetrate and pass out to him at the three point line so he can have his feet set so he can shoot. Also, I saw him Singh pump fake and dribble and attack the hoop. That is all improvements. This kid has ability. He needs to get his minutes.

The rotation is basically the six players from the 2014 class plus Gordon. What has to happen is that we have to develop more depth and that means Anderson and Singh have to contribute in a meaningful way and hopefully give Carter, Soffer and Anthony some time to see what they can do this year.

The crazy thing is that Anthony is probably better offensively than Anderson

Willard said on the post-game that he might experiment with both Angel and Carter on the court at the same time....

Behind Delgado I would put the order as Anderson, Carter, Anthony. If all we are hoping for is defense/rebounding Anderson is probably going to give us the best of that. Anthony is an automatic foul in the mold of Mike Davis...not sure between the two of them who has more fouls per minute but it would be close. Carter is intriguing and I would see him taking more of Anderson's minutes as the season progresses but he is not going to be strong enough to handle the real big guys in the league.

Think the core rotation should be those 7, and then less minutes for Singh and Anderson. Soffer actually looks pretty good in the limited minutes he has played, hate to say it but looks more poised than Singh; only a freshman so his time will be in the coming years.

Bottomline, is a rotation of 8-9 is more ideal for winning. Put the pressure on kids to compete to in practice to earn minutes.
