Tuesday's games to watch: Creighton at Georgetown, Indiana at Wisconsin, Kansas State at West Virginia, Xavier at Providence.

Shaquille Thomas (SHU fans remember him) has scored a combined 35 points & grabbed 10 rebounds in Cincinnati's last two games. Can it continue? Potential X-Factor.

Kansas has 74 assists and 79 turnovers in the six games its played since it beat Oklahoma. Jayhawks' offensive flow is sporadic. #kubball

Things you'd never thought you'd tweet: Cheick Diallo has played a combined four minutes in Kansas' last two games. #kubball

Jim Larranaga now has a combined 8-5 record against Duke and North Carolina since becoming the head coach of Miami. Mightily impressive.

Three reasons to avoid knee jerk reactions in CBB: Indiana, Iowa, and VCU. All three had rough spots early, but haven't lost since 12/19.

With Diallo seeing limited time at Kansas ( 9.4 MPG ) and playing in only 14 of 20 games you have to wonder if a transfer is around the corner .

lol, yeah right. I'd go ape if we gave up a home conference game to play in a different state. ludicrous, but for Rutgers I guess it doesn't really matter where they play.

Right, so why stick it to your loyal season ticket holders? That's a nice game to play if you're any good, but who the hell is going through the effort to get to MSG to see that slop? Bad job by Rutgers there, really tone deaf.

I think it has more to do with conference pressure to play a game there to highlight how the Big Ten tourney will be at MSG that season.

As has been said many times already, the Big East has to be really vigilant about protecting their turf. These conferences are all salivating to take our venue away from us

You are absolutely right about that.

This is part of the Big Ten trying to gain a foothold in New York City.

Michigan is playing Penn State at MSG this coming Saturday. I think it's silly. Conference games should always be played on campus/home arena sites.

I understand, but you can't force what isn't natural. That league, which had always been so cautious and steady, passed its tipping point on greed a few years ago, opting to dilute its product for a buck. This is a symptom of that.

Part of a day/night doubleheader. Big Ten Hockey will play at MSG at night.

This just seems too gimmicky for me...I mean, it's not like one of the largest cities in America isn't in the heart of their Conference territory or anything. Play there then.

They really blew it if they thought rutgers was going to give them their NYC footprint. I'm sure the bars on 2nd Ave are jammed on Saturdays all fall with ru football fans!

haha i think all the SHU fans that work in nyc would love more games there. getting to newark on time is what keeps a bunch of people from making the 7pm weekday games. cant wait till the st johns game. easy breezy.

Nwk is a 20 minute train ride form NYC and a five minute walk. You should have tried CAA from NYC.

And I bet out turnout at msg for the SJU game is paltry.

20 minutes via NJ Transit im assuming? + waiting + walking to the the stadium etc. Usually lends itself up to an hour when ive done it in the past.

MSG im in a seat in 10 mins.

Easy if you're working that Saturday

This is nowhere near as silly as playing their conference tournament a week early next year. The telling stat will be the number of butts in the building.
