• Kansas has enjoyed a banner recruiting class. The latest addition is shooting guard Lagerald Vick. Originally part of the 2016 recruiting class, Vick has reclassified to the 2015 class. The 6-foot-5 Memphis native averaged 27 PPG, 11 RPG and 5 APG. He also added three steals a night for Douglass High School.
• Finally, the NCAA revealed charges against North Carolina. Now Tar Heel administrators will respond.
• Pepperdine coach Marty Wilson was rewarded with a five-year contract extension. The Waves scored two wins over BYU last season.
• James White, the leading rebounder and second-leading scorer at Arkansas-Little Rock last season, will play his final season of eligibility at Georgia Tech. He joins Virginia Tech transfer Adam Smith as immediate impact players for coach Brian Gregory.
• It was not a shock when it was announced that Rysheed Jordan would not return to St. John's. Instead he is pursuing pro opportunities. The 6-4 guard averaged 12 PPG during his two seasons with the Red Storm. It means another experienced player is gone from St. John's as new coach Chris Mullin rebuilds.
